I wanted to make a song that played out more like a short story, telling a fictional narrative in some fantasy-punk world. I was pretty inspired by my friend Jeff, I think maybe a little bit too much in some places. (Sorry!) I also apparently wanted to be a discount Dave Mustaine when I grew up, too.

This song was actually the last of a batch I recorded in mid-2021, until I remembered I existed in late 2022 and finished it up.

On a throne in a dying kingdom
Sits the only man who's been fed
His army, thin and frail
The walls and floors stained with red.

His father in his youth
set him on a path to learn the truth
Descendants from the holy mountain
You're lucky the gods have chosen you!

Outside the bombs are dropping
From the war ships flying overhead
Built by the leader's army
